What Interviewers are looking for:
In general, it is best to dress on the conservative side for an interview. Your personal idea of trendy, or fashionable, attire may not match a potential employer's idea of suitable clothing.

It is best to avoid:
- Flip flops
- Sneakers
- Jeans
- Pants that are too tight or very low rise
- Low-cut or short blouses for ladies
- Wrinkled clothing

Women's Dress:
- Limited jewelry: Jewelry can be distracting during an interview, especially if it is large or dangles.
- Conservative attire: A pantsuit or skirt-suit is appropriate. All skirts should be no higher than knee length. Pants should not be extremely low-rise.
- Neat hairstyle
- Conservative makeup
- Light perfume: you do not want to offend anyone's senses in the office.

Men's Dress:
- Conservative suit and coordinating long-sleeve button-down shirt
- Simple belt
- Dark socks
- Dress shoes that match your suit
- Neat hairstyle
- Shaved face
- Light cologne & after-shave

Other tips for the Interview:
- Give a firm hand shake
- Do not look down at the ground during the entire interview: make eye contact
- Bring an extra copy of the resume and cover letter you sent the recruiter
- Research the company before your interview
- Be honest
- Thank the interviewer for their time
