Business Casual is becoming increasingly more popular in today's business environment. Happy Hours, information sessions and even some office places call for business casual attire. Men's Business Casual attire consists of a button down shirt, slacks, shoes and a belt. While there is no need to wear a tie, a sports coat may be used to compliment your business casual dress.
Shirt: An ironed button down shirt is the most acceptable form of business casual. It is acceptable to have a solid color or patterned shirt. Remember that your attire should not be excessively loud or busy. A sweater is also generally accepted in business casual environments. Belt: A leather belt is the most accepted type of belt for business casual. Be sure to not wear an excessively large belt buckle. When dressing for a business casual environment be sure to be clean shaven. If you do have facial hair, it should be trimmed and well groomed. All tattoos and body art need to be completely covered up. Typically, earrings are not considered acceptable for business casual attire.
Watches and non flashy rings are permissible. Be sure not to wear strong cologne, and in general it might be best to avoid it all together to avoid overwhelming your interviewer, boss, or client with a poignant fragrance.
